Simon Wiesenthal's Memorial

For the last 20 years, I have been researching my family roots originate from Galicia, nowadays in the Ukraine. Upon the passing of my late grandfather, Simon Wiesenthal on 20th of Sept. 2005, I started to pay tribute to him on the Simon Wiesenthal Commemoration website. 

Simon Wiesenthal's Genealogy Geolocation (SWIGGI) Projects

                The Simon Wiesenthal Genealogy Geolocation Initiatives (SWIGGI) R&D projects enable people interested in their family history to find the location of the houses their beloved ones lived in SWIGGI 19th century houses in towns and shtetls. 

                Upon the passing of my grandfather, Simon Wiesenthal, on the 20th September 2005, I started researching his family which stems from the Galician "shtetls" Buczacz and Skala Podolska, nowadays in the Ukraine. Intrigued by my grandparents' 89 family members who were murdered by the Nazis, I invested much time and effort in tracing a large number of them, including the location of some of their 19th century houses.
